On Thursday evening, December 17th, Lynn Klein heard the words he so longed to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” He was instantly absent from the body and present with the Lord. While our hearts are broken, we rejoice that he has received his heavenly reward.
Lynn proudly served his country for 21 years as a flight engineer in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant on a Friday and went to work the following Monday as an officer with the United States Capitol Police Force, where he served his country for another 20 years. Throughout his entire life he was a faithful servant, sharing his love for his Lord Jesus with all those he encountered.
Lynn’s legacy lives on through his ministry at CrossLife Church, Oviedo where he taught a men’s Bible study class for 27 years, served as Chairman of the Deacons (twice), and Chairman of the Benevolence Committee.
Lynn is survived by his daughters, Dena (and her husband, Bob), Donna (and her husband, Kent), and Debra (and her husband, Kirby); eight grandchildren, Jason, Jonathan, Michael, Sarah, Emilia, Katherine, Laura, and Joshua; and eleven great-grandchildren, Kinley, Ryleigh, Jenna, Liv, Lincoln, Averie, Nora, Hudson, Hallie, and twin boys due in a few weeks. Lynn was preceded in death by his beloved Millie, his wife of almost fifty years.
Through his service on the Benevolence Committee, Lynn was dedicated to helping those in need. Therefore, in honor of his life and service, we respectfully request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Benevolence Committee at CrossLife Church, 45 W Broadway St, Oviedo, FL 32765.
There will be a visitation and viewing at Baldwin - Fairchild Oviedo on Friday January 8, 2021 from 9am-10:30am. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery (Bushnell) at 2pm. Attendees will be required to wear a face mask or covering upon entering the facilities and at the National Cemetery. Since Lynn loved his jeans and red jacket, please feel free to dress accordingly in honor of him.
