Gail E. Lemere, age 77 of Oviedo, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018. She was born Gail E. Clifford in Hanover, New Hampshire on July 6, 1940. While attending Canaan High School, she was involved in Student Government and Performing Arts. Following high school, she attended University of New Hampshire. She left the university in 1959, after her first year, to marry Roger J. Lemere of Lebanon, New Hampshire. For the next 58 years she was a loving wife, a devoted mother and a thoughtful comforter and counselor to those around her who needed a helping hand. She will be missed by all those who know her. She is survived by her husband, Roger; three children, Brian, Brent (Debbie) and Terasa Allen (Stan); grandsons, Charles, Roger, John Allen (Stephanie) and Joshua Lemere; great-grandson, Christopher Allen; brothers, Robert, Donald, David and Thomas Clifford; sisters, Louise Clifford and Nancy LaCourse. She is preceded in death by brother, James Clifford. Her husband spent 28 years working for an electronics manufacturing company and 11 years with a rep firm in Dallas, Texas. During his many job moves, she was always there to support him and those around her, before helping herself. All will be forever grateful to this very special woman. At each move, she would find a new job. When her husband retired in June 1998, she was working as office manager for Diamond Controls, who manufactured bulk fuel distribution systems in Allen, Texas. She retired with Roger. In 2000, she and her husband moved from Texas to Florida. Until her death, the two of them helped raise the three Allen grandsons, enjoying RV trips with the kids to New Hampshire and family get-togethers. In lieu of flowers, or donations, Gail’s last request was that in memory of her, those of you who shared life with her, do something kind and helpful for someone in need in her name.
