Luitgard Marta Killinger, 91, of Oviedo, Florida, born to eternal life on May 31, 2021. Luitgard was born in the Black Forest area of Germany to the late Pastor Heinrich and Hedwig Laible. While in Germany she received a degree in Dietetics and worked for several years as a Registered Dietician. She married her husband, Otto, and moved to the United States in 1956. Raising their family in Saddle Brook, NJ., Luitgard was a long time member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fair Lawn, NJ. Eventually retiring to Florida, she and Otto resided at Lutheran Haven in Oviedo where she was actively involved in many residence and church activities at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
Luitgard is survived by her children and their spouses, Margaret (Kurtiss) Krueger, Alfred (Eileen) Killinger and Brent (Karen) Killinger; grandchildren, Dr. Amanda Killinger, Daniel Killinger, Peter Killinger, Tyler Killinger, Erich Killinger, Michael Krueger and Andrew Krueger; 2 great grandchildren, Charlie Marks and Shea Krueger. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Ulrich Laible, sister, Gisela Laible and husband, Otto Killinger.
The family expresses their deep appreciation for the love, care and compassion Luitgard received at Lutheran Haven.
A memorial service will be held at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 2021 West S.R. 426, Oviedo, Florida on Tuesday, June 8th. Visitation will be held from 2:00-2:30 pm with the service immediately following. Private interment at St Luke’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Lutheran Haven Foundation, Oviedo, Florida.
