

Nancy went to Stetson University where she met her late husband of 51 years and graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education. After she graduated, Nancy taught in Connecticut and then later in Florida. She also was a substitute teacher and dedicated dividend for many years. After retiring from teaching to raise Amanda, Larry and Nancy decided to begin a new adventure in business which began with Morrow’s Nut House and ended with Vie de France. Nancy was also actively involved in many organizations throughout her life which included, PTA, Phi Mu, ADK, Rose Society of Winter Park, First Methodist Church of Oviedo, and Stetson University.
Nancy had a love for helping others, her family, and gardening which she took a lot of pride in. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Hastings Tully (Jason Sperry), grandchildren Zoey and Porter Tully, brother Robert Wands (Karen), nieces Noelle Fable (Shelly) and Noelle Wands, nephews Court Fable (Megan), Shane Fable (Dawn), Brian Fox, and Austin Wands. She is predeceased by her husband Lawrence Porter Hastings, Jr. her parents, Thomas Frederick Wands, Sr. and Zaida Shelton Wands, and her brother Thomas Frederick Wands, Jr.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winter Springs High School Chorus or Theatre Program. Arrangements will be handled through Baldwin-Fairchild, Oviedo.
A service will be held on May 17th at 11:00 am at the First Methodist Church of Oviedo with a viewing on May 16th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Baldwin-Fairchild in Oviedo.
