You are not forgotten. Even after death you are making new memories. My daughter and I never met you but your bench at east lake will forever hold beautiful memories. Thank you for existing and thank you for helping me create great memories with my daughter.

These 3 Musketeers or 3 Stooges or sometimes as Dawn would say “More  like The Goofballs”, have been best friends ever since they met at 3 years old in daycare. They would play together, laugh together, go out together, graduate together, party together and even get in trouble together!! At least they were consistent!! Lol. I remember the very first time Nick ate at our house, I was making Spaghetti, and my son said, “ Mom, leave Nick’s pasta plain, no sauce, I looked at Nick and said “What the hell kind of Italian are you?” Even though he was a picky eater, he won our hearts over. He always had a smile on his face or laughing. Loved the friendship he had with my son. They were like brothers. We are all in disbelief. Our hearts are broken. We will always remember Nick smiling. He will be greatly missed. I hope you have found peace and are watching over us.  We love u Nick!!

Nick, I’m so incredibly grateful for the memories we had together growing up. Being so close in age you, me, and Amanda were inseparable. I’ll always remember the days of playing minecraft together, spending summers on the beach in cape may, and always giving Nanny and Poppie a headache. Those moments were so special to me and I will always cherish them. Even though we didn’t talk as much as we got older you were still an influence on my life. I’ll always attribute my love of video games to you, I’m forever thankful you weren’t embarrassed to play with your little cousin. You were an amazing older cousin and friend to me throughout your life. I hope you are at peace now and your soul can rest. 
 I want to add this quote from one of my favorite songs, “You were the northern lights in a southern town, a caustic fleeting thing. I’ll bury your memories in the garden. To the Tacopino’s, I am so sorry for your loss. I’m so thankful to have known Nick and to have grown up with him and Amanda. I remember spending hours at a time in the basement of your house back in NJ playing legos and on Minecraft servers with them, and I’ll never forget the summers in Cape May and sleepovers at your house and all the thousands of other memories I have with your family, from kindergarten through to high school. While I haven’t seen you guys in a long time, I still love you all so much and am thinking of you. He is at peace now, patiently waiting to scoop-dunk you all later.

I used to worked with Nick when I first got down to Florida and we would go fishing sometimes on the weekends. He was a unanimously liked by everyone at the shop and would always greet you with the usual “what’s goin’ on”, which I always thought was funny. I always admired his mild demeanor and was glad to have him as a co- worker. 
In this photo our old shop guard dog made a break though a gate one day when we were closing up the shop. It was a total circus trying to round him up. We were running, cars were honking and even the guy from the restaurant down the street came to help. It was easily one of the hardest I’ve ever laughed, Nick could barely carry him due to laughter and exhaustion from the scramble. You will be missed, my friend. 

Dear Frank, Dawn, and Amanda… Our hearts are absolutely breaking for the loss of your beloved Nick.  No words can take away your pain but know that you can take comfort in the fact that he was loved by so many people.  We loved him and will always remember his big brown eyes and glorious smile!  Dawn, you used to cut my hair when I was little when I lived in Hillsborough. This is very sad for me. Sharing in your sadness as you remember Nick. The week I spent with The Tacopino’s in Florida was the first time I got to meet and hang out with Nick. I immediately recognized his big smile and nice eyes. Eventually I got to know him a bit more that week and found out he was also super funny and loved spike ball as well as poker. I’ll never forget that week and the memories we all made together. Rest In Peace Nick you will forever be missed. 

John and I had the best vacation in the Bahamas with you and the family. It was always so funny how we would share times together outside of New Jersey!  The first Bahamas trip was the first time we were in the calmer beach. You, John and Amanda fed the fish. I won’t forget the smiles or the laughs. 

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of my former little league team mate. I remember our baseball team would often go to Five Guys after our victories to celebrate. What great memories we had.  I’ll always remember Nick as a great human being and friend. Rest in peace. Sending prayers to the Tacopino’s and all who knew Nick. 

For the Tacopino Family and friends,

Nick Tacopino was a friend to all of us and we loved him as a brother. We met him on discord playing Escape from Tarkov and we decided to make our own discord channel called Tarkov and Friends. Nick was known in the discord as being the most chill guy with a great sense of humor. Almost daily he would post funny memes, gifs, and cracking witty jokes. Countless days and nights playing with Nick, laughing, joking and enjoying the moment with each other are now memories that will never be forgotten and will be cherished. Nick was a great individual with an exceptional personality that was a flame that was never hindered, always bright and beautiful. He was always excited to talk to the group, share his day with us and game with us all. There were days when we only video chatted and talked for hours just because we were that close. He wasn't just a stranger without a face to us, we knew who he was, what he looked like and how he felt. March 25th will always be a day for remembrance for Nick, the day we lost a brother battling depression. We will continue to celebrate Nick’s life in our discord for as long as we can.

I’m gonna miss you Nick. Ever since 5th grade when we first met each other and bonded over our obsession with video games, I could tell that you were gonna be a real, genuine friend. Growing up I’ll never forget the countless jokes you’d say or the pranks you’d play on people while at school or at CCD(I hope your family remembers that incident). It wouldn’t of ever been the same without you. High school was so much fun with you. Fast forward to when I saw that you were working on boats I was so proud of you man. You loved fishing so much, basically going out whenever you could’ve. I couldn’t of thought of anything better suited for you. It’s truly been an honor being able to call you my friend and I’ll never forget you. Fly high buddy. I love you, we all do.

I remember my first day of school at a new elementary school in first grade at Woodfern. Being scared I’d have no one to sit with, Nick let me sit next to him. Right away I saw that he was such a nice and accepting person. After talking to him on my first day, I was no longer nervous about going to this new school. From that day on we became friends. We continued to sit next to each other on the bus through elementary school. I remember hanging out with him a lot in summer and in middle school. We would play baseball in his back yard. Nick was always a great guy to be around, someone always accepting of you for who you are. He was truly an amazing person and I’m forever grateful to have had known him. Nick will not be forgotten, my thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. 

Nick and I had alot of classes together throughout the years in hillsborough, he was such a happy and funny kid who you could often catch walking into class smiling or giving you a goofy smirk to make you laugh. I will never forget the times inside and outside of class and will be forever grateful to have met such a great person. Ever since Nick moved away to florida we havent had much time to talk except on xbox or snapchat but we still found a way to chat every so often and have a good time. I love you brother and I’ll miss you.

I loved growing up with Nick only 2 houses down. Nick made my transition into the Hillsborough school system outstanding by befriending me the moment we met. I’m beyond saddened to hear the passing of a true childhood friend.  - Alex 

Our families were inseparable… so many cherished memories of pool days, bbq’s, sports, birthdays, holidays, vacations, etc   that were spent together.  Nick was such a huge part of our family’s life.  There was always lots of love, laughter, and happiness when we were all together.

One Christmas, Frank dressed up as Santa to bring gifts to Nick, Amanda , and my kids.  Nick was so surprised… he didn’t realize Santa was his Dad. 

I watched Nicholas grow up through the ever-changing pictures that Erma and Junior kept on their refrigerator and in their home of him and their other grandchildren.  When  Erma brought a two year old Nicholas to my house, I was at a loss as to  what I had available to entertain him.  Fortunately for all of us, I remembered something that had entertained my nephew for hours.  I filled a clean spray bottle with water and handed it to Nick.  With a just few demonstrations of how to pull the trigger, we spent a lovely afternoon in the back yard laughing and talking as Nicholas proceeded to make sure everything got wet.    Nicholas, you will forever be loved and missed.

I knew Nick since we were 5 years old. We played baseball for many years starting at T-Ball, we worked together, and also spent countless hours on Xbox. He got me into fishing and we would talk about it for hours. Nick was one of the biggest goofballs I knew and it was very common to catch him with a huge smile on his face, or even that goofy smirk. The last time I saw him I was on vacation and he drove 3 hours across Florida so we could hang out for the day. Only a true friend would do that. I appreciate all the good times together. I’ll miss you brother - God bless.
