

Ron was born on August 8, 1936, in Albany, New York to Charles Joseph Hearst and Camille Rose Costello. In 1959, he graduated from the United States Naval Academy and accepted a commission in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in many places including England, Azores and Taiwan. After 20 years in the Air Force, he retired to become a civil engineer in St. Louis, Missouri, designing and building airports all around the world. In retirement, he and Patricia, his wife of 42 years, spent their time traveling with friends and visiting family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a dedicated friend to 6th Company and all member of the Class of 1959 at the Naval Academy as well as his US Air Force RED HORSE Squadron.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Camille Hearst. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hearst of Orlando; children: Ronald Hearst II of Springfield, Missouri; Robert Hearst (Maritza) of Boca Raton, Florida; Kip Beaudry of Cabot, Arkansas; Nichole Evans of Overland Park, Kansas; Elizabeth Hearst (Rick Smith) of Calgary, Canada; grandchildren: Kyle, Camille and Carrington Hearst of Orlando; Travis Trent (Caroline) of Cabot, Arkansas; Logan Evans of Kansas City, Missouri; Piper Evans of Chicago, Illinois; three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10am. Additional service and interment will be at the United States Naval Academy at a later date.
