Roy F. Gainer Sr.

Born in Panama City, Florida, he was a veteran of the Unites States Navy and had a successful career as a Homebuilder/Real Estate Broker. He was a” True Southern Gentleman” with a genuine heart that was so full of love. He loved his family, friends, church community and most of all he loved God. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, reading, watching westerns, Florida State Football and loved eating his sweets.

Roy leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Cindy See Gainer; his children, Susan Techner (Sam) of Toronto, Canada and Roy Jr. Gainer (Sally) of Crestview, Florida; his brothers Senator George B. Gainer (Jan) of Panama City, Florida; Gene Gainer (Nancy) of Tallahassee, Florida; his 4 grandchildren, Brittany Young (Brad), Shelby Gainer, Rachel Gainer and Emily Techner; his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Young, Gavin Young and Mason Young; Mother in-law, Jeanne Williams, sister in-laws/brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beveridge and Edell Gainer and sister in-law Terri Karouani.

A visitation for Roy will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 11:00am to 12:00pm followed by a funeral mass 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 113 Lockwood Blvd. Oviedo, FL.

In lieu of flowers, Roy asked for donations to be made in his memory to Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.
