Anton "Tony" Hrepich

April 20, 1931 ~ January 3, 2017

Monterey

Tony passed to our Lord at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Croatia and, after serving his country in the Army, he moved to the United States at the age of 27.

Tony was a partner at Del Mar Cleaners for over forty years. He was an active member and leader in many clubs including the Knights of Columbus where he was a Past Grand Knight; Italian Catholic Federation, #36 serving in many positions; Monterey Elks Lodge and Monterey Moose Lodge. Tony had a can-do attitude and always contributed with much laughter to all that he did in life! He loved to travel and enjoyed his visits with his family in New Zealand and Croatia.

Tony is survived by his wife, Geri Vivolo Hrepich; his children, Stephani (Pete) Harris, Toni Lynn Hrepich and Jeff (Niaomi) Hrepich; his stepchildren, Julie Vivolo (Mark) Davis, Christine (John) Mercurio and Lezlee Vivolo; his siblings, Barbara, Catherine, Ben and Vince; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Hrepich and his step-daughter, Kathy Beers.

Visitation will take place at The Paul Mortuary Chapel this Sunday, January 8 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at San Carlos Cathedral on Monday, January 9 at 9:30 followed by entombment at San Carlos Cemetery.
