Monterey ~ Carmen Rodriguez, born in Tampa, Florida, has lived locally for the past seventy-three years. A homemaker, she was an active volunteer at the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop in Pacific Grove for fifteen years and a member of the Monterey Civic Club for twenty years. Carmen was also a long-time member of the St Angela Merici Church in Pacific Grove, The Sociedad Espanola de San Benito and the Cervantes Trailer Club.
Carmen is survived by her daughters, Nora (Jim) Fisher of Lafayette and Linda (Gary Ulrich) Rodriguez of Pacific Grove; her grandsons Michael (Lin) Fisher and Louis (Britani) Ulrich and her great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Niko, Josephine and Emmanuelle Fisher and Gary, Wyatt and Cole Ulrich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel, in 2008.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Carmen, Ivy and Lily for the dedicated care they gave Carmen and to Heartland Hospice for their unwavering care and support.
Funeral services will take place at The Paul Mortuary Chapel in Pacific Grove, Friday, August 29 at 11:00 AM followed by entombment at San Carlos Cemetery in Monterey.
