

Daniel “Boomer” Rockwell, born on August 19, 1952, in Carmel, California, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024. A proud member of the Pacific Grove High School Class of 1970, he was the cherished son of Dean and Jacqueline Rockwell, who preceded him in death, along with his brother Bruce.
Boomer is survived by his beloved daughter, Brook Shadwell (Micah), and son, Daniel Rockwell (Helga), as well as three adoring grandchildren, Dasha, Baylee, and Brighton. He also leaves behind his siblings, Dennis, Dena, and Mike, who will continue to honor his legacy of love and laughter.
For over 30 years, Boomer was a dedicated general contractor, founding Rockwell Builders and making a lasting impact in his community. His commitment to youth sports shone through as he coached baseball and proudly embraced the role as “Coach Boomer.”
Known for his gregarious nature and delightful storytelling, Boomer brought joy to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 2pm at the Portuguese Hall in Monterey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a local youth sports organization in Boomer’s memory. Friends and family are invited to gather and share their cherished memories of this remarkable man.
