Carmel ~ Donald H. Drummond, a native of Chicago, IL, passed away at his residence on December 23. He has lived locally since 1964 coming from Kansas City. Don attended Cal Tech and received his BA Degree in Engineering from Stanford University. He then served in the US Navy Seabees during World War II.
Don was an award-winning homebuilder for over 40 years, both in Kansas City and on the Monterey Peninsula. He was an enthusiastic horticulturist and orchidist and his passion for and knowledge of The Drummond Collection was vast.
Don is survived by his children, Donald F. (Page) of San Rafael, Kenneth (Ha) of Salem, OR and Diana (Roger) Frizzelle of Bakersfield; his grandchildren, Haley, Derek, Jennifer, Joe and Robbie and his great-grandchildren, Kylie and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, in 2005.
