

George Shustoff, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, son, and nephew passed away on May 22, 2025. George was born in San Francisco on October 10, 1936 to Paul and Katherine Shustoff. He was the youngest of eight children.
George graduated from Mission High School in 1955. Later that year, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served four years at the March Air Force Base in Riverside, California. Soon after leaving the Air Force, he met the love of his life, Carol Robertson, and they married in 1961. They settled down in Daly City and welcomed three daughters; Denise, Yvonne, and Colleen. George was a plumber for Local Union 38 in San Francisco for 38 years and eventually retired with the San Francisco Water Department in 1998. George enjoyed golfing, card games with family, trips to Konocti, watching the S.F. 49ers and S.F. Giants games, and spending time with his extended family. He will always be remembered for his natural sense of humor.
George is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Carol, and his seven siblings. He is survived by his three daughters, Denise Amores (Bob Amores), Yvonne Roggio (Joe Roggio), and Colleen Shustoff; his many nieces and nephews; his nine grandchildren, Robert Amores, Shawn Amores, Rachel Philbrook, Kristine Kalber, Eric Roggio, Ryan Roggio, Micaela Hurd, Justin Hurd and Alyssa Hurd; and his five great-grandchildren, Chloe Philbrook, Mandi Philbrook, Hailey Philbrook, Zachary Amores and Wesley Amores.
There will be a private memorial service and celebration of life in late June. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
