Born February 8, 1926 in Lewistown, Montana, she was the daughter of the late George Kombol (1884-1926) and Anna Kombol (Dorich)(1889-1985), and loving wife of Edmund Wesley LeGare (1918-2001).
She is survived by her two sons, Dave Edmund LeGare and wife Margeaux of Oregon City, Oregon, and Bryan Joseph LeGare and wife Erlinda of Fresno, California; Four grandchildren, Jenni, Amanda, Michael, and Dawn and six great-grandchildren Bella, Julia, Kaiden, Jessie, Jaelyn and Cameron, as well as a seventh (Georgia Olive, her namesake) to be born this summer.
She was a longtime resident of Pacific Grove and employee of Holman’s Department Store (and later Ford’s Department Store) where she met and maintained many life-long and deep friendships. She was a good neighbor to all, and became the beloved “Matron” of her close-knit community on Spazier Avenue. She was a voracious reader, loved crossword puzzles, and was a merciless rummy player. Her trademark “Love you bunches!” will echo forever in our hearts.
There will be a memorial open house for friends and neighbors at the home on Saturday March 16, 2013 at 1:00PM. The burial will be on March 22, 2013 at Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield, California followed by a reception for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Carmel Foundation, PO Box 1050, Carmel, CA 93921 (also available online), or to the American Heart Association.
