Joe Santos Silva

Joe S. Silva, a native of S. Mateus, Terceira, The Azores, passed away peacefully at his home in Pacific Grove. Joe worked for the city of Pacific Grove for 25 years, was a member and director for F.D.E.S and member of our Lady of Fatima, enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Tina (Eddie) Tavares of Salinas, Sally (Bill) Morris of Pacific Grove and Bob Silva of Pacific Grove; his grandchildren Michael (Jen), Steve (Claudia), Jason (Alicia) and Kevin (Tina) Tavares and Melissa and Kristina Morris and his great-grandchildren, Colin, Gavin, Anthony, Sofia, Avery, Mateo and Augustine Tavares. Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary B. Silva, his great-granddaughter, Jameson and his beloved brothers. Visitation will take place at The Paul Mortuary Chapel on Thursday, September 1 at 5:00 PM with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church on Friday, September 2 at 11:00 AM followed by entombment at San Carlos Cemetery in Monterey.Arrangements under the direction of The Paul Mortuary, Pacific Grove, CA.
