The journey through life can be a difficult task.  Having a Big Sister like Lucy, made navigating the bumps more bearable.  
Lucy had so much patience & always advocated to  better oneself. Even the simple things like her penmanship was picture perfect. 
Always striving for excellence, Lucy helped lay a solid foundation of morals & ethics within the family.
Lucy was always so generous in sharing her knowledge & hospitality. I always looked forward in visiting her. I was always welcomed. I have so many Fond  memories of the places we visited. Places & landmarks I would have never been able to experience if it wasn't for her.  She did so many great things for me ,our family and the people around her. I was "So Fortunate" to
have such a Amazing Big Sister like Lucy.
She truly will be missed.

Although Lucy was my cousin, she was like Big Sister to my family. In her young adult years, she assisted my parents in looking after our needs while we were young. My mom said that children would happily call out, "Lucy! Lucy!" when they'd see her. Before I was born, she was my mom's Best Friend and my father's favorite ally. She taught my mother many skills from sewing and cooking to arranging photos in an album. She conversed with my father about politics and other subjects. Lucy was highly respected by my dad for her intelligence, strength, and courage in resolving issues. She was an asset to my family. I remember Lucy's candid, "tell it like it is," style of expression. She was authentic - the Real Deal.
Lucy was Mother Superior to four loving children who will miss her dearly. She was a Fighter; she fought her last battle, and she won our hearts forever. Thank you, My Dear Cousin and Big Sister, Lucy, for your compassionate care and nuturing love.

Lucy was our neighbor on West 41st Street in Los Angeles in the 1950s. She and my mother developed a lasting friendship that lasted over 60 years. We are still grieving over my mother's passing this past March. However, we find peace in knowing she had a true and loyal friend in Lucy.

Remembering your wonderful mother and wishing you comfort. What an amazing person and what a remarkable life. I feel very lucky that I got to know her.

When I was a classroom teacher in the Alisal School District in Salinas, I would invite Lucy to come to show my students how to write Chinese characters and to read to them the original version of the story of Mulan from a book written by her daughter. This presentation was part of our studies each year at the time of the celebration of Chinese New Year. The students loved Lucy and gave her their full attention.  They were very happy when "Mrs. Hu" came as my substitute teacher for the day.  She was a joy to be with!

I have known her through her daughter Eileen, and although I have never spoken with her, I felt a big admiration for her. Although she lost her husband when her children were teenagers, she knew how to raise her children in the right way, and she did it in an admirable way. She was not only a mother to her children, but also a mother to her sisters and was very beloved by all who knew her.
I feel very sorry for her passing and I am sure she is already in the heavens with all the angels.
My deepest condolences for this immense loss.

All of us at the day center want to extend our deepest and sincerest condolences to Lucy's devoted family. Lucy was such an important part of our group because she was so willing to share her wisdom, intelligence and humor. She was an incredible story teller because she lived a rich life. But Lucy also had a big heart and enjoyed recognizing birthdays and making others feel special. Lucy was a proud teacher till the bitter end. To say that she is missed doesn't encompass the immense loss we are all feeling. Thank you to her dedicated children for sharing their amazing mother with us. It truly was a privilege to be a small part of Lucy's life.

I want to express my condolences to Lucy's family, particularly to her devoted children Amy, Eileen, Ellen and Ray.  I will always remember Lucy as being a kind and gentle soul.  She is in my prayers. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Lucy's passing. She was a frequent participant at the Monterey Senior Center for many activities. I also took her on many trips including our great trip to Africa where she had a hilarious adventure with a wild elephant. She was a lovely lady and I will miss her.

My sister Lucy touched my life by helping me succeed I owe her So Much!
 Around 10 years old,  I remember being so proud of my beautiful big sister.
Growing up, I had two mothers. My mother did not understand the Western society so I always went to Lucy for advise.She gave excellent  advise.
Now with her passing, there is this emptiness that nothing can fill.
To the Amy, Eileen, Ellen and Ray , I feel you lost. But remember she was 
rich in how many lives she touched
