Patricia Lynn “Noel” Beutel, 78, of Carmel passed away on March 25th surrounded by her loved ones after a hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Noel was born on December 25th, 1944 to Edwin & Vivien Parrish in Portland, Oregon and grew up in Willow Glen, CA. After graduating from Willow Glen High School in 1962, Noel met the love of her life, Ronald Milton Beutel.
Noel and Ron married in 1962 and the following year had their first child, Ronald Scott Beutel. Their second son, Steve Alex Beutel, was born in 1968. In 1976, Noel’s husband, Ron, passed away after fighting cancer.
A few years later, Noel began practicing real estate. One day in 1988, Noel was showing property to her clients who were looking for a very specific type of home. Their description of what they wanted perfectly matched Noel’s own home. She had already been renting a house in Carmel-by-the-Sea for the weekends, so she sold her house in San Jose and the family of three along with their dog “Rover” moved to Carmel. Noel continued her successful Real Estate business until her passing.
Noel had a love for golfing, traveling and the San Francisco Giants. She was six-time cancer survivor over the past 40 years. She was strong!
She is survived by her sons, Scott Beutel, his wife Lindsey and their son Ronnie of Carmel and Steve Beutel and Britta Arnold of Carmel.
Noel’s strong faith over the years was a source of comfort. She has been reunited with her husband, Ron, her sisters, Dianne and Marilynn and brother, Rick along with her mother and father and several wonderful dogs.
Services will be at Church in the Forest in Pebble Beach at 3:00 on Friday, April 7th followed by a Celebration of Life in Carmel-by-the-Sea – Details announced at service.
