

Salinas ~ Raymond John “Butch” Crivello, born February 16, 1944 in Carmel and a life-long Monterey County resident, passed away in Salinas on May 10. He was a graduate of Monterey High School, Class of 1962 and attended Monterey Peninsula College and San Jose City College.
Butch worked for many years as a manager for Home Depot and Lowe’s. He coached youth baseball and football for over fifty years including serving as a Palma High School Varsity Baseball Coach and a Salinas High School Freshman Baseball Coach.
Butch is survived by his wife, Gwen, whom he married at San Carlos Cathedral on December 17, 1967; his children, Daniel (Juli) of Salinas, Joseph (Angie) of Salinas and James (Nora) of San Juan Bautista and his sister, Joanna Crivello (Anthony) Giammanco of Seaside. He was a loving Nanu to Nikko, Vincent, Marco, Gianna, Michael and Avery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rosalie Crivello.
Visitation will be held today, Thursday, May 14 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at The Paul Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services, also at The Paul Mortuary Chapel, will take place tomorrow, Friday, May 15 at 2:00 PM followed by inurnment at San Carlos Cemetery.
