Robert F. Grant, a native of Pacific Grove, attended Pacific Grove schools thru his sophomore year of high school when he transferred to Monterey High School. A graduate of San Jose State, he served in the US Navy from 1951 – 1954. Robert was an instructor/programmer at MPC in the early 1970’s. He continued working in the computer and technology field in the Silicon Valley for twenty-five years. Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Madeline; his daughters, Linda DeRuelle and Terri Cowgill; his granddaughter, Jessica Bakeman and great-grandchildren, Daniel and Caitlin Bakeman of Oklahoma and his brother, Eugene Grant of Chico. Private family services have been held. A Celebration of Robert’s Life will take place on Saturday, June 20 from 12:00 - 3:00 at the Pacific Grove Community Center, 515 Junipero in Pacific Grove. His family wants to especially thank the staff at Windsor Monterey Care Center for the care and support over the past four years.
