Sara Lou McIntyre

Sara L. McIntyre, a native of Lebanon, Indiana and long-time Peninsula resident, passed away at Community Hospital. After receiving her degree from the Indiana University School of Nursing, she began her thirty-year career as a Registered Nurse. Sara retired in 1992 after twenty-five years as an Operating Room Nurse at Community Hospital. As a young girl, Sara was very active in Girl Scouts. She enjoyed membership in the Pacific Grove Women’s Golf Club, spending time with her family, taking trips to many favorite places including Las Vegas and line-dancing with her husband . Sara is survived by Robert, her husband of fifty-nine years; her sons, Louis of Pacific Grove and Robert of Buena Park and her sisters, Janet Brunk of Florida and Elizabeth North of New York. Memorial services will take place at The Little Chapel by-the-Sea in Pacific Grove on Monday, May 4 at 11:00 AM. Sara’s family would like to thank the staff at Canterbury Woods Medical Center for the excellent care they gave her.
