She and her husband, Glen Walder, were married on February 21, 1970 and recently moved from Dublin CA to Pacific Grove CA, their “refuge by the sea”, where they spent many of their early teenage dates and later anniversaries, birthdays and special occasions.
“Gramsie The Great”, our matriarch, our rock…she showed us what true unconditional love looks like and how to live a life built around being genuine with others, nurturing appreciation and wonder for the natural world, and devotion to family.
Family “La Familia” for her was a broad definition as anyone who had the good fortune of knowing her instantly felt her warmth and care. She embraced family, neighbors, her children’s friends, her clients, and her colleagues with her whole heart.
Terri cultivated a creative vision which she built into a landscape design business that thrived by word of mouth, attracting clients who time and again shared their awe at how she transformed the joy of being in their gardens.
We will all carry in our hearts her twinkling eyes, the laugh in her voice, the ease and comfort she had with everyone, her “can do” attitude, her artistic green thumb, and most importantly the wife, friend, mother, and grandmother who was overflowing with love.
Terri is survived by her husband Glen, her two children Brian (Christine) Walder and Nicole (JJ West), and her three grandchildren Johnny (16), Hannah (14), and Luke (12).
Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Terri are invited to a celebration of life memorial at Asilomar Conference Grounds, Scripps Room, at 800 Asilomar Ave. Pacific Grove, CA 93950 on Sunday December 16, 2018 at 2pm. If you are able, please bring a written memory, story, picture, or thoughts you would like to share for a memorial book to be compiled for the family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a cancer research organization of your choice in Terri’s name/honor.
