

Alvin Motzkin 84 of Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away with his devoted wife of 60 years, Ann Motzkin, at his bedside. Alvin was born November 7, 1928 in New Rochelle, New York, the third son of Isadore and Julia (nee Polansky) Motzkin. Alvin graduated from Franklin & Marshall College and served in the US Marines. He worked in the family dry cleaning business in New Rochelle, and briefly as a chemical salesman before starting Kingston Oil Supply with his brothers in November 1956. Alvin worked in the business for over 30 years in Kingston, NY, raising a family before retiring in April of 1987. He then relocated to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and spent 25 years of retirement enjoying golf, boating and many happy hours with his family and friends. In addition to his wife Ann Motzkin, Alvin is survived by his three children, daughters, Carrie (Steve) Rubinstein and Terri Rabkin; son David (Suzy) Motzkin; seven beloved grandchildren, Brynn, Hayley, and Nolan Rubinstein, Dana and Jamie Rabkin, and Julian and Chelsey Motzkin; brother Morris Motzkin; sister-in-law Marilyn Motzkin, and numerous close nieces and nephews. Alvin is pre-deceased by his brother, Arthur Motzkin, and his sister-in-law, Maxine Motzkin. Online condolences may be offered at www.starofdavidfunerals.com .
