Donald Schilling

Donald Lawrence Schilling, born and raised in Brooklyn, passed away peacefully at age 87. He is survived by his beautiful bride of 63+ years, Annette Schilling, three adoring children, Stacey (Bill) Romanello, Laura Schilling and Michael (Melissa) Schilling, as well as four incredible grandchildren, Sami Rae Schilling, Lexi Schilling, Eli Schilling and Adi Schilling: Brother, Ronald Barry (Marilyn) Schilling, Donald was a man of many talents – he raised a warm and caring family, created more than 150 patents and authored 12 textbooks in the electrical engineering telecommunications field, as well as a novel, “The Enterprise Book 1”, available on Amazon. He was also the former CEO of his own consulting firm, SCS Telecom, which he and his wife, Annette, started, President of Interdigital Communications Corp (NASDAQ: IDCC), former president of the IEEE Communications Society and Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering at the City College of NY. Donald loved fishing, playing golf, tennis, being Jewish, being part of the Chabad community, and traveling. He did it his way – and fully loved life, his family and his friends!
