Born on February 21, 1965, in Queens, New York, Donna was the beloved daughter of Bradford and Lorraine Sterling and the sister of Tom and Robert Nichols. She pursued her passion for healthcare, earning a Master of Nursing Science from Barry University and becoming a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. Over the past three decades, she dedicated her career to caring for others. She worked at Jupiter Medical Center and the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she retired after years of compassionate service.
On August 15, 2001, Donna married the love of her life, David Mullin. She believed in embracing every moment and found joy in traveling, hiking, and exploring national parks with him. She loved the beach, swimming, fine dining, shopping, and pickleball. Her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and warm smile could light up any room—wherever she went, the party followed.
For the past two and a half years, Donna resided at Regency at Avenir, where she quickly became a beloved community member. She served as the acting social chair for the clubhouse, bringing residents together and making every gathering more vibrant and enjoyable.
Donna lived by the words, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” She embodied this philosophy, creating countless cherished memories with her family and friends.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and joy, survived by her husband of 24 years, David Mullin, and their children, Erika, Sean, and Casey Mullin. She is also lovingly remembered by her parents, Bradford and Lorraine Sterling; her brothers, Tom and Robert Nichols; and her adored grandchildren, Jaxon, Alexander, Connor, and Jacob Mullin. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, and friends.
In honor of Donna’s generous heart, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
