Obituario de Kenneth "Ken" J. Scherer
EN EL CUIDADO DE

IJ Morris at Star of David Cemetery of the Palm Beaches

Ken Scherer, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at the age of 77. A true testament to resilience and determination, Ken was a proud cancer survivor who lived life with unwavering strength, passion, and generosity.

Born and raised in Hillside, New Jersey, Ken lived an active and vibrant life, dedicating himself to his family, community, and numerous pursuits. Whether it was through his professional endeavors, hobbies, or the relationships he cultivated over the years, Ken’s enthusiasm for life was evident in all he did. His love for adventure and commitment to staying active were sources of inspiration to all who knew him.

Ken was a successful trial attorney who was passionate about his work. A dedicated athlete, Ken competed in multiple marathons and triathlons, including the Ironman in Hawaii at which time he was a 10 year cancer survivor.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Norma Scherer, with whom he shared many years of happiness and companionship. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Ken is also survived by his children Amy (Jared), Philip and Seth (Diane), his grandchildren Avery, Caylah, Bennett, Jordan, Dylan and Eli, his step-children Nick and Bryan (Erin), his former wife Marci, and other loved family members. Not to be forgotten, Ken and Norma’s spirited dog Bubba. Ken’s legacy lives on through his family, friends, and the many people he touched throughout his life.

His passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew him, but his spirit, strength, and zest for life will forever be remembered.

A private family service and celebration of life will be held in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
