

Lenore Lapin passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, in Delray Beach, one week after celebrating her 89th birthday with her children. She had suffered from dementia. She has lived in South Florida for four decades and spent many beautiful summers in the Berkshires.
Born in Merrick, NY on April 20, 1934, daughter to Harriet and Jack Green, Lenore graduated from Mepham High School. She attended Alfred University and Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Speech Pathology.
Lenore was a dedicated audiologist and speech pathologist, working with children in the BOCES school system on Long Island. She was very active and traveled often with family and friends. Family trips to destinations such as Spain, Panama and St. Lucia created a lifetime of great memories. Lenore enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bridge, dominoes and canasta. She enjoyed hosting dinner parties and holidays, often serving a beautiful spread, ending with her famous cheesecake. Lenore loved the arts and was involved in various philanthropic causes, supporting Play for P.I.N.K., PAP Corps and Hadassah. In her later years Lenore spent many hours enjoying music from her favorite artists such as Barry Manilow, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 44 years, Ronald Lapin. She is survived by her son, Todd Lapin (Cathy), of Raleigh, NC, her daughter Debra Freire (César), her three precious grandchildren, David, Antonia, Daniel (Erin), and great granddaughter Laurel. She also leaves her dear nieces, nephews, grand nephews and cousins.
Lenore will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, style, energy and laughter.
Lenore will be buried on May 2nd at 11:00 am at Mt. Ararat in Lindenhurst, New York, next to her cherished family members.
