Paul was born on May 4, 1934, in The Bronx, NY. A proud son of Caroline & Sigmund Goldner z”l, and brother to Harry z”l. Paul was a bright, bold and curious young person. A graduate of Far Rockaway High School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Paul began his career at IBM and later founded Database America Companies, which specialized in marketing information and databases and pioneered the creation of on-line intelligent marketing databases.
Paul loved his work and was a leader in his field. But even more, he loved his family. And it was not only with them whom he shared his love and appreciation for the power of music and the arts; he shared with his community too.
In retirement, Paul applied the same dedication to the arts and children as he did to his career. This included his generous contributions and board participation at JAFCO, an organization dedicated to the rescue and raising of children in peril from family disaster, drugs, crime, and the counseling of families who need help. He sponsored the Special Needs Program of the JCC in Palm Beach Gardens, The Maltz Jupiter Theatre where he sponsored the Conservatory, which trains children in the arts and the Palm Beach State College “Arts in the Gardens for young people” which brings Arts to thousands of school children each year free of charge. He was on the board of the Admirals Cove Cares Charitable Foundation which raises and distributes funds to local charities and the arts. He was also a board member of the Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach, the Palm Beach Opera and the Palm Beach Symphony.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, his children, Helene and Mark, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren - all of whom will miss him tremendously.
