Rita Weiss

Rita Leona Weiss, 88 of Lake Worth, Florida passed away on August 12, 2016. Rita is survived by her beloved children; Amy Weiss, Jeffrey (Iris) Weiss and son in-law James McElroy; Rita’s grandchildren; Jennifer, Jillian, Jessica, Samantha and Hannah; great grandchildren; Nicholas, Lisa, David, Matthew, Shayna, and Cruz. Rita was pre deceased by her husband Walter and Daughter Lisa.

We invite you to make a donation in Rita’s memory to Stephen Wise Temple’s Center for Youth Engagement.

All donations will provide scholarships for students to join our CYE programs, including religious school, youth programs, and educational visits to Lithuania and Israel to learn about and forge personal connections to the worldwide Jewish experience.

The Center for Youth Engagement (CYE) at Stephen Wise Temple provides youth with a wide variety of Jewish experiences and educational opportunities including engagement with our “twin” schools in Lithuania and Tel Aviv, one of Rita favorites, forging connections with other Jewish teens around the world, experiencing the Lithuanian and Israeli Jewish ways of life, and developing a year-round dialogue with Jewish peers from varying backgrounds.
