We remember Bob today

It's hard to believe that Bob is gone and not on another round-the-world cruise or other adventure. It's hard to believe that we won't be hiking again in Sedona or playing golf in Florida, or exploring another art museum. Although he left us way too soon, Bob lived a full life in his 70 years. And during that time, he did it his own way, in full partnership with Alisa. From high school, through his work with his dad, to starting his own business with Alisa, to his active "retirement", art work, philanthropy, religious studies --  Bob always figured out what he wanted to do and how to do it. Amazingly, he did all this without developing a big ego or outsized temperament. He simply went about his business. Bob was a loyal friend, and gave me great advice when I retired a few years ago. My sincerest condolences to Alisa, Aaron, Jessica, Brian, Norm, and Therese.   He will be missed.

Avi & I are so sorry to hear of bob's passing.  Even though we haven't known you as long as some of your other friends, we always enjoyed being with you both in Chgo & FL, & getting to know you.  We know the last couple months have been very hard for both of you, but the fact that bob's at peace now may give you some consolation that he is no longer suffering.  The coming months will be difficult for you but you have so many years of wonderful memories, as well as your children/grandchildren/ friends (& pokey) to help you get through this grieving period.  Our sincere condolences to you & your family.  Bob left this world too young and he will be greatly  missed by all those who knew him.

My dear friend Bob.  We hiked in the mountains together.  We golfed together.  We laughed and talked Torah. I shared email jokes with you.  We loved coming to your home for celebration. We loved having  the two of you and Alyssa’s mother over for Pesach seders.  You enriched us with your gentle demeanor and wonderful insights.  I will always think of you in my heart and in my mind.  My good buddy, Bob. 

Bob had many wonderful attributes – his laugh, his smile, his friendship. He was an excellent businessman – low key but effective. He will certainly be missed.

I knew Bob from Caldwell Elementary School and Bowen High School. He was a kind friend.

I last saw Bob after he sold his business and before he took a world cruise some years ago.

I went to elementary school with Bob.  He was friendly and kind to everyone.  

We are very sad and sorry for the passing of Bob. Although we only got to know Bob and Alissa a few years ago through Palm Beach Synagogue and AJC we became very fond of him and quickly realize how sweet of a human being he was. Always with a smile in his face, calm and pleasant. We will miss sitting next to him at Shul during services and the kiddush and at our AJC board meetings and events. Our deepest condolences to Alissa, his children and the rest of his family. May his neshama have an aliyah.

Bobby, Ron Buzil, Steve Golber and I celebrated earch other's birthdays for years and years, meeting 4 times a year. I knew Bobby since Caldwell School on the South Side of Chicago. He was a gentle soul who liked to laugh, liked good food and was a good friend. When he sold his business, the birthday gatherings stopped, but my affection for him did not. Wish i could have taken him out for dinner one last time on August 9th. Nobody knows when the last time they see a friend will be the last time forever. Rest in Peace.
