Ron was one of the funniest and sweetest men I knew, and I was lucky enough to grow up with him as a "pseudo" older brother.  Everyone who knew Ron can speak to his warmth, his curiosity, his self-deprecating nature -- and most of all his amazingly quick wit and humor.  You were always smiling when Ron was with you.

My favorite memory of a time with Ron is also one of my earliest... Ron was with me the first time I saw a Broadway show.  For anyone who knows me, it will come as no surprise that by the time I was 7, I was a huge fan of the musical Pippin.  My parents however, being sensible, knew that Pippin was not appropriate viewing for a 7 year old.  By the time I was old enough (and had worn them down with begging) to see it, everyone else in my immediate family had already seen it.  So my mom, came up with the idea that my cousin Ron would take me. 

And so, that wonderfully funny, curious, warm and loving cousin, at 17 or 18, sat next to the most elated (and precocious) 8 year old budding thespian that ever existed and put up with me literally whispering to him what was going to happen next throughout the entire show.

In all of the memories of Ron that have come since ... and there are so many wonderful ones ... this one makes me smile the widest.

He was a most special human being and his laughter and love lives on through his wife, Bonnie, his son David, his daughter, Erica -- and her three daughters (his grandchildren).

All of our lives were so much better because he was with us.  May his memory be for a blessing.

Nancy and I were saddened to hear the news but we will always remember the good times we had together growing up. I remember dragging Ronnie to the race track, all the ball games we went to at Shea stadium, the trip to Lake George and all the laughs we had (Ronnie always laughed at my lousy jokes). The last time I saw Ronnie was on the Cross Bronx expressway. We were in separate cars and happened to be stuck in traffic together😊.  Although we have grown apart over the years, we were very close growing up and I will always remember and cherish the times we spent together. Our sympathy goes out Bonnie, Erica, David and all the grandchildren.  

My deepest sympathies on the loss of Ron. Ron always brings summer to mind. Bonnie I remember you telling me that Ron would always keep up on where summer concerts were being held so you could attend. He loved music. May he Rest In Peace.  

Steve Lefkowitz  Ron’s cousin  when we were kids we would visit Ron And the family. Ron was  joy and had back then so much to offer . We had a good time as kids and even though we lost touch I know that he was a great person. My sympathy goes out to the entire family on you loss. 

The words, "son" and  "sun" come to my mind every minute, as I grieve......Ron, born just a few weeks after my Rona, was such a part of all of those days!    I remember that we had their first birthday party together..as if they were twins!!!  So, at that time it was like a son.......and,  all the years thereafter, each time we'd be together, Ron warmed us....and made us HAPPY.....LIKE THE SUN.....  To picture this world without him just isn't possible....so, I see him in each room of this condo......I know where he sat...I know how he "cuddled" Ed.....and, I recall the visits to Ed when Ed had to be at a facility...... If memories can do some of the job of helping us to go on...Ron sure gave us those in boatloads!!   May his loving wife, children, grandchildren, sister, sister-in-law, and mom-in-law, and all friends and family find their grief to be bearable......may we all try to smile as we "hear" his wit and jokes in our hearts...I love you forever........... From the birthday parties we shared, to adventures in various backyards (Grandma & Grandpa's, 79 Cedar)and other venues, our early years were filled with shared family and fun - we were even nicknamed the kissin' cousins based on some early PG rated home movies!   Then we had the blessing of having families of our own, and shared the celebrations and sometimes the challenges.  Always, Ron brought his kind spirit, his good humor, his love of life and energy, and we all benefitted.  Whatever life brought his way, Ron dealt with it .  No challenge interfered with his unwavering  love for his family and his joy at the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.   I send my love and comfort to all in the family.   May Ron's memory serve as a blessing.


My cousin Ron Kresh was a fun-loving, warm human being and his passing will leave a gaping hole in our hearts. Ron was so proud of his children, Erica and David and so profoundly in love with his three precious granddaughters. He and his wife Bonnie had a long, loving relationship. As kids, my siblings and I were especially close to Ron and his sister Sharon. We grew up together. Whether it was bowling at Utopia lanes or swimming in our Long Island backyard pool, we were connected through childhood. The obligations and inertia of adulthood meant less time shared. When we did gather, however, for holidays and family events, Ronnie and his cheerful presence were a gift for all to enjoy. He is gone much too soon and we will miss him greatly. But today, I’m trying to remember happier times and wishing comfort and love to all who are grieving. May his memory be a blessing.
