

Alejandro “Alex” Cantu, Jr., 60, of South Houston, Texas, passed away, in Houston, on Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 26, 1964, to the late Belen Estimbo and Alejandro Cantu, Sr. Alex had a keen eye for detail and was extremely meticulous when it came to detailing vehicles. His passion was to make others happy, and with that he enjoyed what he did to help others.
Alex pursued many interests, some of which included going fishing, doing yard work, and listening to music. He loved going to the beach and swimming in the ocean. Alex enjoyed the simple things in life, like sitting out back BBQing. He was quiet and reserved, but when he was with his family and the ones, he loved the most, he was outgoing and fun to be with. Alex was a true momma’s boy, and was very protective of her.
Alex was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Jorge Cantu. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his siblings Ruth Garcia and husband John, David Cantu and wife Edie, and Esteban Cantu; his nieces and nephews Sarah Sanchez and husband Marlon, Sophia Saenz, Eric Cantu and wife Mindy, Mathew Cantu, Colin Cantu, Raina Cantu, Chris Klores, and Cameron Allbright and wife Megan; his great-nieces and great-nephews Christian Slattery, Judah Sanchez, Lincoln Sanchez, Keilani Cantu, Kyan Cantu, Alexis Castillo, Mia Castillo, and Ryland; his aunts and uncle who always loved and asked about him Delia Mejía, Velma Silva and husband Pete, Ninfa Estimbo, Simona Guerrero, his numerous cousins, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas, 77505, on March 21, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.Following the funeral service, a graveside service will take place at Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas, 77505, on the same day from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
