He was married to Sara Lilia Castaneda for 71 years.
Alfonso Castaneda Jr. was in the Military for 23 years and after retirement, he worked for Jack Roach Ford for 23 years.
He was a member of American Legion and had a passion for travel, movies, and dining out.
He was preceded in death by Alfonso Castaneda Sr., father, Concepcion Castaneda, mother, Mary Rodriguez, sister, Tana Quintanilla, sister, Alfonso Castaneda Ⅳ, grandson. He is survived by Lilia Castaneda, wife, Maria ‘Connie’ Baggerley (Alan), Alfonso Castaneda Ⅲ (Blanca), son, Rudy Castaneda, son, Lucia Cruz, sister, Rudy Castaneda, brother, Michael and Joey Pallotta, Michelle Fuller (Scott), grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren.
A visitation for Alfonso will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A rosary will occur Monday, August 14, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
