

Andrew was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He met his beloved wife Ann on a blind date, and they later married in 1958, building a family together with five wonderful children. Andrew was devoted to his family, always present at his children’s games and events, rarely missing an opportunity to support them. After a distinguished 28-year career as an engineer at NASA, he retired, proud to share stories with his family about the various parts of the space shuttle he helped create. Following his time at NASA, Andrew continued his engineering career at Boeing for another seven years before retiring once more. He was known for his punctuality and dedication throughout his professional and family life.
He is survived by his sister Arlene Vamos, brother Alan Farkas, children Charlotte Armstrong, Susan Farkas, Patty McMillon, Judy Teel, and Andy Farkas, nine grandchildren (Brittany, Bryan, Cody, Drew, Austin, Matthew, Sarah, Cassie, Ivy), and nine great-grandchildren (Adelyn, Sophia, Wesley, Sutton, Jackson, Saylor, Andrew, Reagan, Gracie).
A committal service will be held at Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, located at 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX, 77505, United States. The service is scheduled for February 13, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Andrew Joseph Farkas was a resident of Deer Park, Texas.
