

She was born on April 30, 1943, in DeQueen, Arkansas, to parents Lloyd Guthrie and Helen Wilkerson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Guthrie; her mother, Helen Wilkerson; her stepfather, Ernest Bevill; brothers, Robert, Lynn, and Glenn Bevill; and her sisters, Maxey Kinkade and June Gail Cannon.
She is survived by her son, Terry, and his wife Debbie; granddaughters Ashley Winn and husband John, Caressa Clarno, Heather Harp and husband Chris, and Sarah Payton and husband David; along with 14 great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by one sister, Marsha Smith; numerous nieces and nephews; loving cousins; and many other extended family members.
Brenda was the devoted wife of 57 years to the late Ardell Bryant, with whom she shared a joyful and loving marriage filled with adventure and laughter. Together they traveled extensively, exploring new places and creating treasured memories across the world.
She was a devoted and loving grandmother and great-grandmother who created countless cherished memories with her grandchildren. Summers were filled with movies, trips to Astroworld, magical adventures to Disney World, and carefree days at the Elks Lodge swimming pool. She was their biggest cheerleader, proudly supporting them from the sidelines at countless sporting events. Her playful spirit, unwavering encouragement, and dedication to making every moment special left a lasting imprint on their hearts.
Brenda had a passion for painting, good music, and friendships. She was a proud member of the Grandmothers Club, Red Hatters Society, Community Club, and a longtime participant in both the Elks and Moose Lodges, as well as the American Legion. Brenda found great joy in fellowship and service. Her humor, kindness, and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas.
