Brenda Louise Thomas, 72 of La Porte, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020. She was born in Groveton, Texas on March 5, 1948 to Charles and Hazel Simons.
After retiring as an accounts payable/receivable clerk from Pasadena Sporting Goods, she began working for La Porte Independent School District as a bus monitor. She enjoyed all the kiddos she was in charge of, as well as the bus drivers she worked alongside.
She enjoyed taking trips with the family, chats with her sister, Charline, and supporting all her grandchildren in their activities such as FFA, dance, and baseball.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father Charles Simons; her mother Hazel Hensley; her brother Richard Simons; and her sister Cynthia Collins.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her son Wayne Thomas and wife Kathaleen; her daughter Regina Rawlings and husband Chris; her sister Charline Goodrum and husband Ray; three grandchildren, Chase Rawlings, Kailey Rawlings, and Skilar Thomas; along with nephews and nieces.
Brenda truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always put a smile on the faces of everyone in the room.
