It is hard to write an obituary for a man like Christopher Lawrence “Chris” or “Rudy” Rudmann. The facts of his life are simple. He was born August 19, 1982 in Pasadena, Texas to Christopher Joseph Rudmann of Ironton, Ohio and LaJena Rene Frie Davis of Pasadena, TX. He worked as a salesman for Fannin Toyota in Ashland, Kentucky and Chillicothe Truck and Accessories in Chillicothe, Ohio.
We can also tell you who he is survived by: his parents, as well as his wife April Dawn Fosson Rudmann; children, Alexis Rudmann of Pasadena, Jaran Greer of Lexington, Sarah Howard of Morehead and Kylee Stevens of Greenup; a granddaughter, Gracie Mae Fannin; a sister, Mallory Rudmann of Pasadena along with many extended family and friends.
But those “facts” don’t tell us about the Chris we all know and love. We don’t hear about his sense of humor, or his quirky laugh. Words on paper cannot effectively tell about his fierce competitive nature which allowed him to be a fighter and a survivor through so many battles. Words cannot express the innate desire Chris had to always be a protector and guardian of those people he loved. And unless you have been in a group of people with Chris, words cannot describe how animated he was, how he was always the life of the party and that he could convince an Eskimo to buy ice cubes.
There is so much more that can be written. Christopher Lawrence Rudmann impacted more lives than we will ever know and we will miss his hearing that laugh, seeing his smile but we will always carry his spirit and love within us.
