Claud Lewis Ener, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud veteran, passed away on May 13th, 2024, at the age of 77. Born on October 9th, 1946, to James Elbert Ener and Willie Elmer Byrd in Jasper County, Texas, Claud leaves behind a legacy of service, hard work, and unwavering love.
Claud served his country with honor, bravely fighting in the Vietnam War as a member of the Army. Following his military service, he dedicated 45 years of his life to living and working in the Houston area. As a skilled pipefitter and boilermaker, Claud contributed his talents to various projects before eventually retiring.
A man of faith, Claud was a devoted member of the Apostolic Church, finding solace and strength in his beliefs throughout his life's journey.
Claud is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, George R. Ener, as well as his brothers Bill Parker, Lester Manshack, James Ener, and sister Nadine Womack.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 48 years, Rosetta K. Ener of Pasadena, Texas, his daughter Annette Sue Derouen and son-in-law Rodney of Ivanhoe, Texas, and his son Ronald D. Ener Sr. and wife Gwen of Trinity, Texas. Claud will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Brandon Derouen, Garrett Derouen, Evelyn Ordaz, Ronald Ener Jr., and Savannah Ener.
Claud leaves behind his brother Ray Ener and sister-in-law Rita of Coldwater, Mississippi, his sister Vera Wooley of Coldwater, Mississippi, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory.
In addition to his human family, Claud also leaves behind his beloved fur babies, who were his faithful companions and cherished as his own children.
Claud Lewis Ener will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and dedication to his family and country. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation for Claud will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM with a Celebration of Claud's Life beginning at 11:00AM at Apostolic Temple, 2630 Allen Genoa Road, Pasadena, Texas 77502. He will be laid to rest Monday, May 20, 2024 at 2:00PM at South Park Cemetery, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, Texas 77581.
