Daniel Joseph Kurtz was born on April 8, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri to John & Patricia Kurtz and passed away February 23, 2016 at the age of 54 in Pasadena, Texas where he lived the last 8 years of his life.
Dan enjoyed life. During his lifetime, he traveled most of the U.S. He loved the outdoors and his music, was an avid reader, and also loved spending time with family and friends any chance he could. Once you met Dan, you became part of his extended family. He was a very selfless man; you could always count on him to help you out in time of need. He was truly one of a kind.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Lindy Kurtz and grandparents Mike and Dorothy Manderville. He is survived by the love of his life and best friend Beverly Fatherree, his father John Kurtz, 3 brothers, John Kurtz, Jr., of Germany, Mike Kurtz of Missouri, Doug Kurtz of Missouri, 1 sister, Karen Medlen of Missouri, and a daughter, Patty Staufenbiel of Missouri.
We will miss Dan’s sense of spirit and kind heart. Love you Brother.
