David Andrew Jordan

David Andrew Jordan, 57, of Houston, TX passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was born in McAllen, TX on February 2, 1960 to Ernest L. and Mary Sue Jordan. He graduated from McAllen High School and attended Houston Art Institute.

David worked at O’Reilly Auto Parts. He enjoyed the river, watching movies and sports. He was a music connoisseur who enjoyed all types of music. He especially enjoyed going to and watching drag racing.

David was preceded in death by his father, Ernest L. Jordan. He is survived by his mother, Marysue “Susie” Jordan of Pearland, TX; two sisters, Judy Moore and husband Ken of Houston, Cindy Besselman and husband Jimmy of Pearland, TX; step-children, Jeffrey Owen of Oklahoma and Jordan Michelle Sims of San Antonio, TX; one granddaughter, Savanah Sims. David also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews as well as the rest of his family and friends who meant so much to him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. A Celebration of Life to follow at 4:00pm in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home with Mr. Dee Bowman officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Roselawn Cemetery, 1201 S. Main St, McAllen, TX 78501 with Mr. David Smitherman and Warren Berkley officiating.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Aziza Sarkar for her personal care over the past several years and the staff of USS Renal. They are also grateful to the numerous nurses and physicians at Memorial Herman Southeast who so lovingly cared for David during each admission. Also to Dr. Van Morris and the GI Center at MD Anderson for their care and support.
