Denise Dunham, aged 63, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Denise was born in Pasadena, TX, on December 20, 1960, to David and Vada Gerfers. She was a lifelong resident of Pasadena and a graduate of Pasadena High School. Denise leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Denise is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tony Dunham, her daughters Amy Walls and husband Keith, Crystal Baxley and husband Sam, and Cindy Edwards and her husband Chris. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Brett, Christian, and Andy Walls, Bailey Baxley, Noah, Raiden, and Reagan Edwards. Additionally, her survivors include her brother David Gerfers Jr. and his wife Kristi, and her sister Tina Grace and her husband Bryan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Vada Gerfers, and her grandparents Lois and Bennie B. Stegall and Mae E. and Henry Conrad Gerfers.
Denise and her husband, Tony, were the primary caregivers to her mother Vada, who had Alzheimer’s disease, for the past decade and together they did a phenomenal job. Denise loved to do puzzles and read on her Kindle. She also loved to listen to the bands Journey and The Eagles.
A visitation for Denise will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. Finally, a graveside service will be held from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Denise Dunham will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
