He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Thompson, his grandfather, Paul Thompson, and grandmother Carol O'Keefe Thompson.
Dennis is survived by his wife Julie Thompson, father Roger Thompson, aunt Teresa Stewart, and aunt & uncle Kathy and Steve Franz.
Dennis graduated from Deer Park High School, where he played football, ran track, and played soccer. He enlisted in the Texas Air National Guard, where he attained the rank of Tech Sergeant and served as an aerospace medical service craftsman at Lackland Air Force Base for 8 years and 9 months.
Dennis received various decorations including the Air Force Commendation medal, Air Reserve Forces meritorious service medal with 2 oak leaf clusters, the Global War on Terrorism Service medal, and the Louisiana Emergency Service medal.
Plans for a celebration of life are pending and will be announced as soon as possible.
