Doris Lynn Butts passed from this life on December 5, 2011 in Houston, TX at the age of 87. She was born on November 11, 1924 in Sulphur Springs, TX to William Shelby Branom and Lorraine Pennington-Branom. Doris is preceded in death by her parents and son Rickie Butts. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Tommie L. Butts; 1 son, Ronald Lee Butts and his wife Waynetta; 5 grandchildren, Brooke Cailleteau and husband Leo, Jana Cullen and husband Russell, Derek Butts and wife Lyric, Timothy Adam Butts and wife Nina, Kelly Diane Butts and fiance Anthony Wahlheim; 4 great grandchildren, Leo, Jazzlyn, Layla, Merced; and 1 sister, Pat Clay and her husband, Johnnie.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
