After completing her Doctorate of Education, Margaret went on to conceive and implement the special education program for the Deer Park Independent School District. Thousands of families over several generations have benefited from this pioneering woman’s work.
Married to, and predeceased by, her husband of 50 years, Charles Newton Bigham, Margaret was most proud of her only daughter, Professor Charlene Bigham-Jackson, also of Pasadena Texas, and her “son” Ron Jackson.
Oldest of ten children, Margaret has three surviving siblings from the Windle family of north Texas, including, her sisters Mary Barner, Bennie Crawford and her brother Don Windle, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family from 5pm – 8pm on Tuesday December 13th and services will be held Wednesday December 14th at 12:30pm, both at the Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer highway, Pasadena Texas 77505.
