Elida was born in Edinburg, Texas on April 26,1982 but raised in McAllen, Texas.

She leaves behind her fiancé, Jesus Montez Jr., her daughter Mia Tapia, her parents, siblings, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
We are left to cherish her memory and have to hope to one day see her again when we also transition to the Kingdom of God.
A visitation will be held on June 10, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505, United States.
The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A graveside service will take place on the same day at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
