

Elizabeth Agnes Landry George, 78, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She was born on January 21, 1945, to Lindsey and Elna Landry in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Elizabeth attended Pfeiffer University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work. She had three children: Cynthia Jane George, Pamela Lee George, and John Christopher George.
Elizabeth worked as a Special Education Teacher for Pasadena ISD from August 16, 1996, until her retirement on June 8, 2012. She was dedicated to her belief that every child deserved a chance to learn.
She had many interests including sewing and camping, but the greatest joy in her life was playing with her grandchildren when they were young and more recently, her great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth is survived by her siblings Mary Ellen, Erleen and David; daughters, Cindi Langstaff and Pam Morren; grandchildren, Steven, David, William, and Aimee; Ashley, Brady, and Cadey; Bryan; Preston and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Bobby, and Brett; Reagan and Lee; Perry; Charlee and Scarlett; and Baker. There will be two more great-grandchildren coming in the fall.
She was proceeded in death by her siblings, Rudy and Eileen; and son, John Christopher George.
We entrust our mother into Your gracious care and look to You with faith and hope in everlasting life, to comfort us in our grief and pain. We ask this in Your powerful name, Amen. Lord Jesus Christ, You are the name above every other name. As we mourn the passing of our sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend may we find safety and comfort in Your name.
A rosary for Elizabeth will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A memorial service will occur Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home.
