Elva Elia Hernandez

She enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible and listening to Christian music. One of her favorite times was singing gospel hymns in the choir and fellowship with friends at church. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers she loved so much and her legacy will forever remain in the lives of those who knew her. Her family was the most important part of her life and brought her so much joy.

Elva is preceded in death by her parents, Marcus Elias Juarez and Estefana Olivarez and siblings, Marcus Juarez, Jr and Alice Maldonado and son, Kurtis Keith Hernandez. She is survived by her husband Lawrence Hernandez, Sr.; son Lawrence Hernandez, Jr and daughter in law Nicole Hernandez; daughter Lorraine Mesa and Bob Swain; daughter Yolanda Hernandez and fiancé Robert Tollett; son Timothy Hernandez and Stacy Clark. Grandchildren; Naomi Mayhall and husband Marcus, Stephanie Carter and husband Justin, Hilary Hewitt, Chloe Hernandez, Cecily Rodriguez and husband Eliezer, Robert Hewitt III and wife Sharmain, Taylor Hernandez, Victoria Hernandez, Tomas Mesa III and Lauren Hernandez. Great Grandchildren; Hayden Padilla, Pedro “Petey” Yepez, Noah and Abram Rodriguez and Sophia and Olivia Carter. Brothers; Victor Juarez, Joe Juarez, Jesse Juarez and wife Bertha. Sisters; Mary Juarez, Fannie Williams, Dalia Hendry, Ruby Rendon and husband Jesse. Host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She will be missed but we rejoice in knowing that she is in the presence of family members who went before her and welcomed her in heaven with open arms. She will always be our guardian angel.

We will gather to celebrate her life on January 10, 2020 at 1:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home.
