Esther Ramirez Gonzales

Esther, the second of seven children, was born on January 25, 1953 at home in Houston, Texas to Epifanio and Raquel Ramirez. She answered God's call on April 8, 2022 a day after her father's birthday. In the words of her grandson, Ryan: when she caught a glimpse of the other side she said there's no way I'm turning back because there's no place I'd rather be.

In 1971, she met the love of her life, Jose Beltran Gonzales. From this union came her heart's delight; Joe Angel, Brandy, and Steve Eric. Through her 28 years of marriage there was never a dull moment for this family. They had many adventures that took them from Pasadena to California, Waco, San Antonio, Pearland, and back to Pasadena.

Esther was a devoted Christian and a member of Grace Church where she happily served as a volunteer. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager but backslid. She made a promise to her dad on his deathbed that she would rededicate her life to Christ so that she could join him in Heaven. That is exactly what she did.

Esther is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, and numerous other family members. Surviving her are her children; Joe and fiance Rosanne Buitron, Brandy and Lupe Hernandez, and Steve and Rebecca Gonzales; 11 grandchildren: Ryan & Marixza Aragon, Destiny & Michael Martinez, Brandon Mark Hernandez, Elicia Rae Gonzales, Isabella Rose Gonzales, Joe Aikman Gonzales, Piper Mendez, Damian Gage Gonzales, Dryden Caine Gonzales, and 1 great-grandchild Christian Ivan Vazquez with another due to arrive in September, Jaxon Cash Martinez. Also surviving her are her siblings, Epifanio and Alicia Ramirez, Rosa Monday, Mary and Herb Toombs, Emily and John Duncan, Dolores and Refugio Bravo, and Paul Ramirez and Ronda Rector. Also surviving Esther are her brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Sandy Gonzales whom she dearly loved. She also left behind a multitude of nephews and nieces who she also loved and prayed for daily.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Astros attire. A Celebration of Esther's life will be held Friday, April 22 at 2:00PM, immediately following she will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Joe Gonzales, Steve Gonzales, Ryan Aragon, Brandon Hernandez, Lupe Hernandez, Paul Ramirez, and Michael Martinez.

She may not be with us physically but we can all still feel her love around us.
