Ophelia “Esther V. Warren” Dungan was born December 10, 1929 in Uvalde, Texas to parents Raphael and Aurelia Vaquera. Esther was called home on Saturday March 30, 2019 in Deer Park, Texas. Esther was a resident of Deer Park, Texas.
Esther is preceded in death by her parents, Raphael and Aurelia Vaquera; first husband, Robert E. Warren; and second husband, Pleny P. Dungan.
Esther was the fifth of seven children. Her siblings are Lilly Rolls, Ismael Vaquera, Betty Vaquera, Raul Vaquera, Moses Vaquera, and Neomi Vaquera. Esther married Robert E. Warren in 1958. They were married for 24 years. Years later, she remarried to Pleny P. Dungan, in 2005. They were married for 5 years.
Esther was a member of Southmain Baptist Church. She always thrived to be a servant of God and to always help those in need. She liked reading the Bible, traveling with family and spending time with her many grandchildren and great and great-great grandchildren.
Esther is survived by her two daughters, Bertha Juarez and Jacqueline King; 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and adopted family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 10:00AM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. The committal service will immediately follow at 11:00AM in Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
