Evelyn Donahue

Evelyn B. Donahue passed peacefully on March 11, 2025 at the age of 90. She was born and raised in Hastings, PA to Louis and Gladys (Woodley) Carpinello. She was married to Patrick Donahue on August 11, 1956. They then transplanted to Texas where together they built a loving home and raised seven children till he was called to heaven after 48 years of marriage.

Evelyn was strong willed and unwavering once she set her mind to something. She rose to every challenge she encountered providing a home for a family of nine and still found time to help at the local school and church. She had a great love for artsy projects, be it crafts, quilts, or decorating cakes. Evelyn also loved flowers, especially roses, and watching old Westerns on TV.

She is survived by her daughters Colleen Limp and Dorothea Steele; her sons David Donahue and Michael Donahue; grandchildren Laura Brogan, Robert Limp, Caitlin Morales, Isaac Steele, Brian Donahue and Deni'l-Donahue; great-grandchildren Andrew, Joseph, Evelyn and Hannah Morales as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Patrick, her son John Patrick Donahue, her daughters Belinda Marie Donahue and Eloise Denise Donahue; her siblings Lou Carpinello, Margaret (Carpinello) Yeager, Leroy Carpinello and Louise (Carpinello) McCammon.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at Grand View Funeral Home, located at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas, 77505, on March 28, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm. Immediately following, she will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.
