I will truly miss my Godfather. He was always there when someone needed him, always had open arms. He knew how to light up the room. Everyone always had the funniest stories about him. I will miss his silly jokes and his contagious laugh, it was hard to not have a smile on your face when he was around. I love you and miss you so much Nuno, but I know you and Nini are watching over us from heaven.

I will miss my uncle dearly. He was so kind to everyone and loved to laugh. When I was sick, he prayed over me, when I fell down as a child he picked me up, and when the ice cream truck came by he gave me money to buy snacks. He was my padrino at my baptism, my quince, and my wedding. He was very much in all of my life up to now but I look toward the day that I see him again. Forever in our hearts.

Fidel is in some of my childhood memories, as you all are. As I may have never spoken to him, I've been around him and knew of him and how much my nephew and nieces loved him. I know he will be missed very much but his memory will last forever for as long as you remember him. May God be with his loved ones at this time of grief and may He give you peace and understanding that he is in a better place. My prayers and condolences are with the family. - baby sister of Rudy & Sylvia Salazar
