

He was an active member at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church of Deer Park. He worked for 42 years in the Pasadena Independent School District at Southmore Intermediate, South Houston High School, and Sam Rayburn High School. During his time in the district he coached football, track, and cross-country. His teams were always successful and well coached. He also coached the summer track program for the City of Pasadena for over 40 years, volunteered with the special needs participants at the Verne Cox Center of Pasadena, and volunteered as coach at the Pasadena-First Baptist Christian Academy.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Diane Espinoza; mother, Adelaida Espinoza of Pasadena; Daughter, Tasha Cockrell and her husband Rev. Casey Cockrell of Tyler; Son, Robert Espinoza and wife Anna of Pasadena, Texas; Daughter, Tiffany Espinoza of Pasadena; Son, Eric Espinoza Pasadena; Grandchildren, Claire Elizabeth and Kate Elyse Cockrell, Drake James and Philip Allen Espinoza; Siblings, Sister, Margarita Diaz and her husband Nick, Brother, Ruben Espinoza, Sister, Mary Toro and her husband Luis, Sister, Susana Buchman and her husband Pete, Brother, Manuel Espinoza and his wife Frances and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Espinoza.
Visitation will be Friday evening March 18th, at Grand View Funeral Home from 5-9 PM, with the Rosary at 6:30 PM. Funeral Services will be Saturday 10 AM at St Hyacinth Catholic Church of Deer Park. (2921 Center Street Deer Park, Texas 77536) Graveside will follow the service at Grand View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to St. Hyacinth Church Capital Campaign fund.
